As part of the district's BYOD policy, students and staff can connect their MLDs (Mobile Learning Devices) to the school network. This provides teachers with opportunities to increase student engagement and motivation. With Kahoot, students can answer questions shown on the SMART Board using their phones, tablets, and other MLDs. Kahoot takes the quiz game approach. Students become actively engaged in the questions and compete to get the correct responses.

Quizizz allows you to choose from millions of teacher-created quizzes or create your own. Start a live game in class, or assign Quizizz as a fun homework task. Questions and answers appear on students' mobile learning devices. Quizizz is an awesome way to check progress. After a game, the results can be downloaded in spread sheet form.
Socrative lets teachers engage and assess their students with educational activities on tablets, laptops, and smartphones. Through the use of real time questioning, instant result aggregation, and visualization, teachers can gauge the whole class’ current level of understanding.
Nearpod is a great tool for making class lectures more engaging. Students can follow along with SMART Board slides, which appear on their phones, tablets, and other MLDs. Questions/quizzes (both multiple-choice and short answer) can be integrated into slide presentations to assess student attention and retention. Free Nearpod accounts are available from the district.
You can edit and insert YouTube videos in Edpuzzle. It lets you embed questions within a video. Students can't move forward in the video until they can correctly answer the question. Whether you’re flipping your classroom or in-flipping, this is a powerful tool. The district has paid for Edpuzzle Pro Teacher for the '20-'21 school year.
QR Code Generator allows you to create your own QR codes. QR codes are easy to produce and fun to make. These pixelated bar codes can be very engaging! Use them for everything from running scavenger hunts to polling students.
Screencastify is a video creation tool that integrates with G Suite. It enables you to flip your classroom and enhances remote learning. The district has paid for Screencastify Unlimited for the '20-'21 school year.
